The NBL made headlines after announcing their plan to add new teams to the league, backed by AFL and NRL clubs. Larry Kestelman started the media frenzy after pointing out that Fremantle would make a great spot for the ninth NBL team and that multiple AFL and NRL clubs were showing a keen interest in the model.

 

Dan Boyce sits down with Aussie Hoopla contributor Nick Farley to discuss whether AFL clubs entering the NBL would really work and whether AFL members could really be persuaded to buy NBL memberships.

When Sydney Fan Olivia Oliver-Hopkins wrote her impassioned plea titled An open letter to the ownership and management team of the Sydney Kings to the King's front office asking for answers to questions like why haven't the Kings signed a third import, why don't the Kings have a true center, why isn't Tom Garlepp playing anymore and even why did the team sack the Kings mascot, she wanted answers, but she didn't expect Kings GM Jeff Van Groningen to come forward and answer them.
