Most Hoops Tragics don't know who Will Weaver is but he's a huge part of the Australian Boomers squad aiming at winning its first medal at a major FIBA event.

Will currently splits his time as an assistant coach between the Australian Boomers and the Brooklyn where he is a special assistant to coach Kenny Atkinson at the Nets. Prior to that, he was an assistant to Brett Brown in Philadelphia and is as passionate about the success of the Boomers as you or I, this is well worth a listen.

2:00 What NBA players should we expect to see at Etihad stadium when the Boomers face off against Team USA?

6:00 What does a special assistant do for an NBA team?

11.15 How does a "yank" become such an important part of the Boomers coaching squad?

15:00 What is the difference between Aussie basketballers and players from the USA?

22:00 How close is NBL talent to the fringe players in the NBA?

28:30 Why "screens" are the next big metric NBA teams will be measuring?

31:00 Coach Weaver's thoughts on Game One of the NBL Finals

39:00 What do the guys on the Boomers squad think about playing  Team USA in Melbourne next year?

41:00 Memories of coaching Kevin Durant in college and seeing him grow into the player he is today

All of this and a whole lot more...

The Ben Simmons Vs Donovan Mitchell race for Rookie of the Year, is it really a race? Seems pretty one-sided to me.

Dante Exum soon to return from injury, Joe Ingles has the best month of his life, Is Aron Baynes good or bad for the Celtics lineup and Patty Mills is insulted by being called a Jamaican bobsledder.

Tune in to get up to date with who has been playing well, stats breakdowns and any injury updates involving our Australian Boomers players abroad.

All of this and a whole lot more...
